About Glitter 'N Dirt:
Well, to be honest, there's only so much one can say!
I started out with this page being about "me," the self-styled "Ms. Glitter." The more I've thought about that though, the more I realize that this blog and site isn't about ME, per se, but more about life, opinions, thoughts, crafts, parenting, kids, and more. So instead of making an "about me" page, I decided to change it to more of an explanation of what, exactly, Glitter 'N Dirt is. After all, I'm sure there are people visiting for the first time going, "Glitter 'N Dirt? Seriously?"
That said, here we go!
Glitter 'N Dirt is the title I chose for this because it's honestly a pretty good representative of life, in an extreme nutshell. The dirt is representative of all the hard times, the things that we, as people, parents, or loved ones, really don't want to do, but often have to do. The glitter is the part of life that shines through, brings us happiness, joy, and just reminds us of why life is so much fun to live, even though it can be so tough. One can't appreciate the glitter without the dirt. I also like thinking of the happiness in life as being "glitter," simply because as any crafter or parent knows, once glitter has been opened, you can't ever seem to put it back, - you're finding it for the rest of your life, sometimes in the strangest of places! Happiness can be like that sometimes: even in the worst of times, there might be that one thing that happens, or is said, or that you see that reminds you of something humorous or wonderful that you've experienced, and you can't help but smile in the face of the tragedy before you.
So there you have it: the explanation of Glitter 'N Dirt. Pretty simplistic, now that I read it, but it still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling every time I think about it. :) I hope you get the same one after visiting!
